By default, student accounts expire on December 31st and will be frozen. If a high school counseling office wishes to do so, they can “freeze” students' lists before then by specifying a freeze date in the ADMIN section of the counselor site.
What happens when student plans are Frozen?
When student plans are frozen, senior students will be set into view-only mode, and only counselors will be able to modify student plans.
Students will be able to log in and view the MY PLAN page, including the Summary View, Requirements View, Need-Based Aid View, and Merit Aid View. These views reflect the latest version of the student plan, including any counselor changes after the Frozen List date.
Two weeks before the Frozen List date, both the senior students and the counselors will see a warning message on their dashboards indicating the freeze date. This reminds students and allows them the chance to modify their plans before the lists are frozen.
