Overview
We've been working on new reporting features that will help you analyze your admissions data by school category. To achieve this, we've introduced a way for you to connect your high school's historical admissions data to your students' plans in College Kickstart.
If you have CK360 and are interested in getting the Admit Rates by Category visualization, you will have to complete this process before using the visualization. Make sure to contact your Relationship Manager if you are interested in the new visualization.
If you do not have CK360 or are not interested in the new visualization, then this process is not necessary for you to continue using College Kickstart. You can still continue to run plans, publish Local Context, generate reports, and use other visualizations in CK360 as usual.
| NOTE: If your applications and outcomes report does not include any student identifying columns such as student email, student name, or student id, unfortunately College Kickstart will not be able to connect your historical admissions data to College Kickstart plans. The Admit Rates by Category visualization in CK360 will not be available. This does not affect other features in our application. You can still continue to generate reports and use other visualizations in CK360 as usual. |

If you're having trouble finding the outcomes reports described in the articles linked above, we can also recommend steps to follow based on data available in your outcomes file.
Export your historical admissions data from your system of record as a CSV and open the file in a spreadsheet application like Excel. Look for columns that uniquely identify students such as student email, student id, or student name and class. Click on the section headers below based on the columns you find in your file to see more steps.
We recommend following these steps if:
- your outcomes report can include student email
- the emails are the same emails you used to add and create student accounts in College Kickstart
- even if your report includes other columns such as name or id, student email will be the easiest and most accurate
We recommend following these steps if:
- your outcomes report cannot include student email
- you do not want to upload outcomes including student names
- your outcomes report includes a student id column and the column is complete for all of your students

- your outcomes report cannot include student id or the student id column is incomplete for most of your outcomes
